The BVA league structure for upcoming season was agreed on the 14th August 2026

BVA committee met today and agreed the budget for this season. The entry fee per team will now be £80.
The meeting also agreed to admit Charlbury Volleyball Club to our league.
We would like you to invite your club to provide teams and availability for the coming season in the BVA. This year we aim to run the following competitions:
The number of divisions in each competition will depend on the level of interest from the clubs entering. We hope to receive sufficient entries to create at least two leagues in each competition. Following our club interest form earlier this year, there was appetite for a juniors league so we are happy to run one provided there are enough entries (six is the minimum).
The deadline for entries is August 14th 5pm. We also need your team and venue availability as your hard working volunteers have set aside their valuable time on August 15th to begin the process of sorting out the league structure and drafting the fixtures. We kindly ask that you enter teams you are certain about entering and let us know about others that you’re considering or working on by emailing us via our normal email address or via the contact form. The sooner and more accurate we receive these entries, the better! The BVA committee will be meeting on August 14th in the evening to approve the league structure.
The league entry fee is likely to be £80 per team (subject to our committee budget meeting next week) and new teams to the league are also required to provide a goodwill deposit of £20 to the BVA, in addition to their league entry fee. The potential increase of £20 per team covers VolleyZone charges, as agreed at the AGM. Following the BVA AGM in May 2026, there were several rule changes in the league. We are currently finalising the changes and will share rules shortly, but they will be as agreed at the AGM.
What do you need to do?
We’d also like to introduce Patricia Russo, our newest member to the competitions team who plays in High Wycombe. Thanks for coming on board Patricia! There is a list of key dates below and if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out!
Best,
Carmel, Simona, & Patricia

The draft fixtures for the BVA for the season 2025/26 are now available on the BVA website for all to see. Please note these are draft fixtures. Host/Home Clubs and Teams should be logging into VolleyZone and setting the correct start time (the start of the hall booking) and approving their fixtures. Away teams should accept the changes, this will then update the fixture on the website.
If you do need to change a fixture then please talk to the other teams and the competitions lead.
Any questions please use the contact form or the BVA WhatsApp group
This year the Berkshire Volleyball Association will be running the following competitions:
The number of divisions in each competition will depend on the level of interest from the clubs entering. We hope to receive sufficient entries to create two leagues in each competition. We play matches on a Sunday in tri-angular format with the non playing team providing officials. Matches are best of 3 sets.
The deadline for team entries is August 14th 8am. The BVA committee will be meeting on August 15th to approve the league structure.
The league entry fee remains at £60 per teams and new teams to the league are also required to provide a goodwill deposit of £20 to the BVA, in addition to their league entry fee.
If you are new club and are interested in joining our league please use the contact form and we will be in touch
